....follow your dream !
written by Liz at on 10.01. at 07:52:03 - as answer to: How many day's do I need to practice? by John so try working your way around your teacher. take ballet as much as you can this year, and, in the summer, fill all your weeks with local and out-of-state intensives. there is an excellent one in alaska, where i live, which is happy to take beginners. and, they have a residency programme during the school year, and you may be able to squeeze your way into that if you try hard enough. here are some addresses:summer intensive: http://www.uaf.edu/music/artscamp/north star ballet school: http://www.ptialaska.net/~nsdf/ of course these are just suggestions that i know of. you can also scan the internet for other intensives and schools with boarding or residency programs that you can take next year if you work hard enough. if you work hard, you might be able to find a school with a boarding or residency program that will accept you. it's really not a matter about your length or training as it is your effort, enthusiasm, detirmination, discipline, and love of ballet. there are girls in my class that have taken several years with no effort and i have surpassed them after four months with very much effort! i hope this has helped you. liz Answers to this message: |
