>There is no reason why you can't enjoy ballet class!! However, since you have some hip difficult I would be very careful with turnout.  Never force it.  Also because of the knee problems you mentioned, I would be very careful about jumping and be sure the studio has a spring floor with lots of resiliency.  Nothing over cement.  Lots of luck to you!! Basheva>>I will be 51 years old next month.  About 15 years ago I took my first and only ballet class and loved it.  I regret that I did not keep it up.  Certainly I would never be good enough to perform anyhwere, but what it did for the inside of me was fantastic.  Now, at age 51, I am considering taking an adult beginning ballet class once again.  I wonder how my body will hold up, as I have a touch of osteo-arthritis in my hip and both knees have been operated on.  I suppose it doesn't matter how well the body dances, as long as the soul gets a chance to. At times i am excited about the prospects of dancing again.  Then I feel as if the opportunity to dance has passed me by and I am fooling myself.  I could use some feedback.
