You need to find a teacher who enjoys teaching adults - not all  do - - some think it is a waste of time.  But they are very wrong.  So call different studios, talk to the teachers, observe the classes.  See if the atmosphere is conducive to positive learning.  You might also check out classes at any colleges near you.  It's just a matter of shopping around until you find the right fit.
