Which puts me miles and miles behind everyone in my advanced classes, despite working my ass off as hard as I can always. The point is that we are having auditions for the first time for next year. If I make it, then I'm in the group that competes and does extra ballet, jazz, pointe and maybe even tap numbers. I WANt to make this more than anything in the world, but I really don't think I'm good enough. THe auditions are in two months. What I need is advice from all sides- about everything. I stretch a lot and I do sit-ups and push-ups, and my turnout is pretty good. I need help with these: 1) I have flat feet-which look horrible on pointe-are there any excercises I can do? 2) I have no balance at all- I try to hold my center and keep placement- but I really need help there 3)I have no extension all around and the back (attitudes, arabesques) are really bad- I think I have a bad back- What kinda stretches or strenthening techniques can I do? 4) I am overweight- although I have been losing it and getting some compliments from my dance teachers, but just not fast enough- I eat healthy and go on the treadmill for about a half anhour a day- but I need to look like a dancer in 2 months- i don't know what else to do.>if anyone can help, even with any one of my problems please post ASAP- I'll take any advice, websites, recommended reading- ANYTHING!!!!! Or you can email me if you want- jazzdiva323@hotmail.com>thank you sooooooo much everyone, even just for reading this! Answers to this message: |
