Re: Advice on late starting - like at 40

>Hi there. I am an artistic person by nature and an accomplished musician.  I am also physically very fit indeed and good weight in proportion etc.  I would really like to try some dance (recognising that I'll never be professional or perform) partly for the fun and joy of it, and partly for the skill, mastery and and exercise.   I have got several dancebooks and exercise guide books, basic position books etc, and without sounding boastful I can work through most of the basics.  I suppose what I am looking for advice with is how to take the plunge to do something about this more.  I feel sure nobody goes to any danceclasses as a beginner at my age, and I am reluctant to make a fool of myself - because I only like to do what I do well. Any encouragement or advice ?   Cheers
