It may have been over-the-top rude, but I wanted to make a point that dance and sexual preference don't have any correlationship. Putting on a pair of tights will not turn you gay, nor will avoiding them insure that you are straight. Dancewear is more body-revealing than many men are used to or comfortable with, although the original writer's question about nude-colored tights makes it seem that he has some exibitionist tendencies. Again, that says nothing about sexual preference, but if he is concerned with looking masculine and straight, tan tights are not the right fashion statement. It seemed to me that the "I'm not gay" disclaimer was an unnecessary addition to his message. Doctor Dance Belt always tries to offer appropriate advice on male dancer and male dancewear issues, both here on the public forum and by private e-mail consultation.
