From what I've heard, it can do wonders for your muscles, especially in the calves. How it affects your feet depends verymuch on your own anatomy. Good feet for pointe, in a man or awoman, have the three longest toes of about equal length, so theweight of your body is distributed among them rather thanconcentrated on just one.
A man I saw removing pointe shoes in the dressing room one daytold me that the ability to do pointe can marginally improve yourmarketability if you're a professional.
