[i]WOW! Thank you for your thorough posting! I wish I had seen that 23 years ago when I started ballet. I had a Danskin dancebelt and wore the darned thing Backwards for a while. "Why do they have the label on the FRONT?" I thought............ Didn't understand the THONG thing for a bit. I think I saw someone putting it on the RIGHT way, that I figured it out.Anyway, I have a few favorite dance belts. I really do prefer the Capezio padded dancebelt. It's great for pas de deux for a little help when my partner's knee ends up in my crotch. I really miss the OLD Danskin dancebelts (of course they no longer make men's dancewear at all now...) I liked the way the heavy elastic would smash things into place and keep it there. The wide thong kept from digging in and the thing was a close to "comfortable" as I've ever seen. They made the same design in lycra for a time (I have one) but it wasn't as good as the original.The M Stevens dancebelt is good under some revealing or SMALL costumes. I was in a music video (in drag and the top picture on my website) and wore my M Stevens for the shoot. However, after ELEVEN hours of wearing the thing, I was in AGONY.
