Also in the 1980 Danskin catelog, they had some unusual things for guys. One that is modeled in several pictures are "semi-sheer" tights. These are somewhat opaque over the feet and ankles, but become totally sheer as they are stretched tighter over the thighs and hips. I don't know if that look ever caught on. They also have a fellow modeling a long sleeve turtle neck zip-back leotard, showing that it is a unisex item. I also remember on many Danskin packages of the time a note on sizing saying, "Men may require one size larger." Those were the days! Variety was all over the place for guys back then. I also have some Taffy's catelogs from the early 80's and it is interesting to see the changes in what was available.
I also had one of the later thin elastic danskin dance belts you spoke of. I am tall and back then was thin, but it was not a favorite of mine. I also liked the Wendy Knits dancebelt you mentioned.
The last Danskin 1100 I found was at a Danskin outlet store in Las Vegas about six or seven years ago. They were a size too small but I bought them anyway. I used one, and sold the other to someone who put out a call looking for one.
Again, I am impressed with your contributions![/i]
