I understand what you're saying! Nylon/lycra can be more comfortable and sexier.
I have lots of problems with "wet." Nylon/lycra can hide "wet" and look really sexy, but the cotton/lycra is warmer when wet, in my humble opinion!
I love milliskin, but I don't love the cuts of the unitards they make. The Capezio cotton/lycra unitards are cut so much better.
The real problem is that dance-wear makers don't care enough about male danseurs to make a good garment for them (us)!

>>Why is it that dancers shy away rom the shiny nylon/lycra and wear more ctton nowadays. Nylon/lycra feels more comfortable and is a lot sexier looking.>I can understand balletboy's explanation about being warm and comfortable in class. But there is also the issue of being wet which I have problems with. Cotton/lycra materials will hold in the moisture longer than nylon/lycra fabrics. I like BalTogs cotton/lycra, but as far as comfort goes, NOTHING beats the M.Stevens milliskin fabric. It is as close as you'll get to wearing nothing at all. It is very thin, not overly shiny and is very comfortable. >I would recommend their tights and unitards to any danseur, since they seem to be cut more for men, however, their bodysuits are too short in the torso, and have a terrible seat. >Just my two cents worth.>Thanks [/i]
