I'd still say, what does it matter? Like you say, whether gay or striaght, we all still face the difficult combinations with the same anxiety.
I used to have a (gay) friend in NYC who'd like to gossip about the sexual orientation of the guys in our classes. One day I finally said to him look, that guy is awesome (sound familiar?), and his orientation doesn't matter to me. Dance 10, sexual orientation, piss on it.
So we agree, right? It's dance that matters, and curiosity about sexual orientation is just that, curiosity.
