After repeated washings, the tights are so long that pulling or rolling or tucking are now futile. I decided to cut the feet off one of the tights as an experiment (I prefer footless anyway). I chose the point just above the ankle as the place to cut.
I found that when it is cut, polyamide tends to flake rather than to thread. Consequently, the new ends of the tights are very uneven. When I apply the scissors to try to make them even, the same thing happens. Has anyone had this happen with this type of synthetic fabric? What was your solution? [/i]
