[i]Hey guys and gals!Many of us have wanted to keep this board devoted to serious discussion that males have about dancewear, and I think you'll see that I usually refer guys on this board and the serious male dancer board to places that may be appropriate for their fantasies.But there also is a serious question that male danseurs may have. Dance, in itself, is a very sensual art and some performances can be sex-charged. And then the display of the body in a near-naked costume can arouse certain feelings in a man.So there is a point where the sensual and sexual aspects of dancewear need to be discussed seriously. Sith-lord is an example. He wonders where that dividing line is, and some comments make him feel uncomfortable.I was an understudy to the Prince in a performance of Sleeping Beauty. When I danced that role at one dress rehersal, I looked in the mirror and saw myself in this great costume, looking like a real Prince Charming, and became aroused. I don't know why; maybe it was the thought of being a real Prince Charming with that elegance and authority over people; after all, Prince Chraming is perfect and adored by everybody.But once I got into the dance, the work was more important.So in some ways I don't know if and where we should draw the line.Some guys need to deal with normal responses.In truth, a real sexual fetish requires that the individual is not able to perform sexually if the object is not present. So when does an interest become a fetish? And when should we refuse comfort to someone who has a sensual interest rather than a fetish?!?Anyone willing to set ground rules?
