You comment is refreshing: >I have been appaled recently. What is with the male dance profession lately. Has anyone noticed that it doesnt matter anymore whether or not a male dancer has good techniques.
So many communities are "dance-starved" that a triple rates a standing ovation!
Most people are just interested in seeing dance nowadays and don't get the chance, so the audience doesn't demand much.
BUT! I think you are more correct about the producers, directors and choreographers of dance performances. These people seem to settle for what they can, and may be more concerned with the money, the show and the movement than the technique.
So what are we to do? Any suggestions?
