To put everybody at ease, I'm only expressing my personal opinion here.

I prefer the Capezio "comfort" dancebelt, which I buy from www.adadance.com.  The buttstrap is a bit wider than most, but it's not a thin string, which I myself don't like.  It's a cotton-lycra dancebelt, without any padding in the front panel.

I'm not going to give a history lesson on the dancebelt, nor am I going to give my pluses and minuses of the readily available dancebelts, because I know some of my pluses are other's minuses and my minuses are other's pluses.

I think the best advice I can give is that everyone I know has different preferences, and that you probably have to try different dancebelts to find what you would really like.
