Male dancewear

I live in the UK and do not want to waste the cost of postage from the US, if I buy the incorrect size. My inside leg measurement (crotch to floor) is 31". email ballettights@hotmail. com>>>>>My advice to you is to save your pounds or Euros or whatever your currency is. These tights are inherently defective. They have a gussetted crotch which is poorly sewn and will begin to tear the moment you don them. >>>>>The first one I bought had this problem, so I returned it for an exchange. The second one was exactly the same. Someone on this messageboard said that he had also purchased Mirella tights and had not experienced any holes or tearing, so I concluded that I had simply experienced bad luck twice in a row.>>>>>I contacted the retailer and arranged for a second exchange. Yesterday, I intended to wear this third pair for a performance. However, in the theater dressing room I saw that I had a hole in my crotch and that my dancebelt was visible. (The other guys in the dressing room started to laugh and make jokes about how I got crotchless tights.) Fortunately, I had backup tights in my dance bag - otherwise, I would have been screwed.>>>>>Next stop - the post office, where I will stuff this third and final pair into a mailing envelope, along with a firmly worded request for my money back.>>>>I have contacted Mirella, who admit there has been a problem with weak seams. They are working to fix it and say that should be done in the next two to three weeks. Since Repetto stopped making their supplex/lycra tights I have not been able to find tights that I really like. So I shall buy some Mirellas and report back as to their quality.>>>> >>>OMG have Repetto stopped making their supplex men's tights? They are/were my absolutely favorite. Have they replaced them with anything else or have they just stopped making any male dancewear? If so what would u guys recommend as an alternative. BTW I too am in the UK.>>Repetto is still supposed to be in the business of making men's tights, but I put in an order for their tights last April, and I still haven't received it. A few minutes ago I emailed the website that I ordered the tights from and asked to cancel the order, but instead to send me the new M. Stevens footless tights.>>Have you tried WearMoi? They are in the UK. I have ordered from them, and I intend to make it a habit (when I can afford it, that is). WearMoi makes the best, most comfortable dancebelts on Earth, and they have excellent tights and a complete line of unitards. I can't recommend them enough.>Oops, my bad - I forgot to reference the WearMoi website. It is: >http://a5.zencatalog.com/WearMoi/Mens_Dancewear.html>They make some supplex items, like their high-waisted tights. (They also sell a tutu specifically for men. I assume this is an acknowledgment that they have customers who have fetishes and money to burn.) Thanks for the advice. In fact, a while back I had a Wear Moi man's leotard which both fitted well and was well made. I'll try their tights next time round, though, I think I'll give the tutu a miss.
