I've seen some of your answers here and was wondering...you seem to have taken classes from many different teachers.  Do you think "balletteacher," if he/she is a real teacher, is hostile towards guys in class?  I don't mean hostile in the sense of a man-hater, but hostile in the sense that he/she lacks confidence in teaching males?

I've had a few female teachers that seemed not to care that the class had a male (me).  Once one of these teachers was telling the class that the combination was delicate and they should be flirting with the mirror.  I asked Well how should a guy do the combination, because men in ballet shouldn't be delicate and flirty.  I got a dirty look.  Have you seen this before?
