Usually a cotton thong. Wearing ballet tights for a workout at the gym is something I have done occasionally in cold weather. I have worn crew socks and sneakers on my feet (the socks over the tights--I only use footed tights), the thong under my tights, and a loose tank top that doesn't quite cover my crotch.
