There there are variations like supplex which I foundto be not as stretchy as nylon lycra (which supplex really is-just milled diff-erently). My best dancebelts are made of supplex, and they are very supportive.There are different thicknesses, Star-styled dancewear used to advertise twodifferent thicknesses of lycra dancewear.
