Well, maybe not deep, but deep enough to take offense when you call me "shallow". I don't think this debate is furthered by calling each other names. The discussion is not whether as "mature" adult dancers we should have perfect bodies (I don't and resent your accusation that I am some sort of Adonis). It is whether we should do all we can to maintain what we've got. As the ravages of time catch up to us, we need to adjust our self-image to reflect the reality of what we are, not what we were. As the victim of name-calling, I am entitled to rebutt the charge. And, as the victim I get to have the last word. The doctor hereby declares this to be the last word said - or at least the last word he will read. From this point on if the discussion continues, it continues without me.
