Under most costumes, you can't see the top part, but the over-shoulder tension keeps the tights up and tight. Many performing groups prefer MStevens milliskin for white performance tights because they practically glow under stage lighting. Be sure to wear a flesh colored - not white - dance belt under your white tights.
