Number 1. is easy:  You need to draw your testicles and penis as far up out of the crotch as possible, to avoid injury when doing quick scissor-like movements.  Therefore the penis should be pointing straight up, against the lower belly.

Number 2. is more difficult: Usually we don't discuss this question on this board.  Guys have their own opinions.  They discuss this one-on-one.
