Anatomy is anatomy.  It functions as it will.  The blood is needed elsewhere.

But can I be frank and ask why should you care about the appearance?  You're in class to dance, not bulge.

If you want to maintain an appearance, why don't you wear a codpiece, like the guys did in the Renaissance?  In fact, www.renaissancedancewear.com will make you a pair of tights with one attached.

I'm really not being sarcastic.  With more than 20 years in balllet classes I have know many men who had the same concern, and have seen a variety of "solutions."  But that discussion is better for the boys' changing room than an open forum.
