Suppose I'm trying to stand in first position: I'm aiming to rotate each foot by 90 degrees outwards, from my normal standing position. How much of this rotation should I eventually try to get out of the hip joint, and how much rotation should be taken up by the knee joint? (I don't want to force my knees, but I can't begin to get beyond 50-60 degrees of rotation from my hip.)
