Give it up, Balletboy. The only thing to do in a case is follow theadvice I once heard from a wise man: Tell 'em how it is & why ithas to be that way; then shut up.
Because they can do one of three things: they can learn from you,they can ignore you, or they can argue with you.
If they've learned from you, then you've accomplished what you setout to do, so you shut up.
If they ignore you, you shut up, for obvious reasons.
And if they argue with you...what good does that do? If someonewins or loses the argument, that shows only that they were the moreclever debater, on that particular occasion. But that's meaning-less! Being a clever debater has no more to do with being rightthan being a better prizefighter has. It's a vexation of the spirit...so you shut up & don't waste your time arguing.
That's what I've done with this Mary person; I suggest you do the same.
