Tights are a piece of clothing! One's sexual orientation is determined by other factors much more complex than what is put on their legs when they dance. If anything, it seems that tights make the legs seem more masculine (remember, only crossdressing dancers wear pink tights and a tutu...although i will probably never understand why males wear the leotard under the tights instead of over). I guess it all boils down to the fact that some people are afraid of seeing something different than the established norm (it wasn't overnight that women started wearing pants, either)
