It might very well. Ballet has been helpful in a wide varietyof non-dance activities. I've read that backetball players jumphigher if they've done ballet class. I understand that olympicathletes frequently take ballet. I've also read that Knute Rockne& Vince Lombardi also occasionally sent players to take ballet. You can bet your bottom dollar it wasn't so they could imitateswans on the 50-yard line. :-) So I would say, give it a try. Youmay be surprised.
And you may discover you like it. I remember reading about a guyin school who wanted to take gymnastics. The class was full, sothey suggested he try ballet instead. He said no way. The nextterm, he tried again, the class was full again, they made thesame suggestion & again he said no way. The third time he gavein & tried ballet instead. He said when he found out what it waslike, he stuck with it & never thought about gymnastics again.Ballet can get in your blood.
