No, my response was totally misinterpreted! I was meaning to say, that since ballet is already a touchy subject for most males to be doing (in today's society at least); It would make it an even awkward situation for this boy to be playing a girl part. Nothing to do with homophobia buddy. In fact, I myself am currently enrolled in ballet, and would find this situation quite weird-- if it presented itself to me.
I still stand by my claim that that kid's mother's ethics is still screwed. (sorry?) I mean, she probably meant to say that she would rather see her kid studying or something to that effect- but frat house, come on?
Hopefully, I stressed my point.
As for the mother who's kid has the REAL ISSUE *cough to this Nick character* . I suggest you play it by ear, and see what you, and your son and the studio can all agree on. You seem to be in a binding situation-- and no genie can just pull out a magic answer for you. If it doesn't work out, it's no biggie really-- it's just ONE recital, I am sure there will be more.
I've said my peace..... [/i]
