Yeah, if you want to be a feminine male then sure Ballet helps. If you have a Dad that is afraid of you being too feminine, that is up to him and he has a right to his oppinion. Ultimately all of us are to blame for the current status of the male ballet dancer's image. The way ballet is taught from an early age has a lot to do with it, and lets face it, how many boys had the luxury of having a male dance teacher when they started? If there were more boys in a ballet class perhaps there would be a reason for having more male ballet teachers and ballet for the male might evolve into something a little more masculine. I suppose that would make your dad a little happier. But forget about that, just do the dance that makes you happy, the rest will take care of itself.[/i]
