Gentlemen -
I don't care about the motivations of those who post to this board, but I would rather read about the legitimate concerns of men who dance. The difficulties men have in wearing tights is, IMHO, such a concern. Unfortunately, the very fact that it is taboo in this society, and that dance is not viewed as as a legitimately masculine pursuit, has eroticized it for some men; hence, all the fetish-related postings here and in other Parsimony forums. I would rather not read such postings, either. Let the fetishists have their own forum. But the Parsimony ballet forums are "run" from afar, by someone in Germany who apparently has neither the time nor the inclination to monitor, let alone exert even modest control. Egroups.com might be a reasonable alternative to Parsimony. Anyone willing to tolerate pop-up advertising can have a listserve, and moderate it to their heart's content. I vote we at least ask the good folks at balletalert for their advice. [/i]
