[i]Unitards are great! I prefer them, but sometimes it's hard to find a proper fit. I find the cotton-blend ones stay put better on the body; the lycra blends sometimes stretch down the legs, and pull away from the crotch, leaving a large open space there, and they can make your legs look like they come together just above your knees.I also prefer the unfooted unitards, cause you can draw the material up so it stays put by the crotch.But some schools want the guys to wear tights, especially in graded classes. You've heard the rules: Black tights, white T-shirt, dancebelt and black or white ballet slippers. At places like this I wear unfooted tights with a strong belt to hold them up. I use the kind of belt you can find in sporting goods stores, the ones the baseball players use in their pants. These are elastic or canvas (buy an elastic one) that adjusts to almost any size. Fold the tights down over the top. I always wear long white socks with white ballet slippers when I wear black or dark-colored tights or unitards, cause you can see the feet better.What colors do you prefer. I like to wear grey or white, cause it's easier to see the muscles of your body. I have a bright electric-blue unitard, but think it's too "showey" for class.If the unitard fits (and it's OK with your teacher) wear it! [/i]
