Marc:

I think Tights Loving Dancer missed the point of your message -- you did NOT say you love tights, you said you love ballet.  Theres a big difference.

When you said you would try on your sisters' ballet outfits, it doesn't mean you have a "fetish," it means that you want to get "close" to ballet.  Actually, in ballet, men wear different outfits than women, usually black tights with a dancebelt (supporter) underneath, a white T-shirt, and men's ballet slippers.

You have to tell me more!!!!  How old are you? and who is "she?"  By your reference to your sisters, I think that you're probably a young guy and that "she" is your mom.  It that right?

Your mom may not understand that you love ballet.  Many moms don't think that young guys want to take ballet, even though their sisters do.

Here's kind of a trick for you to try -- Ask your sisters or your mom to take you to watch your sisters ballet class.  Once you get there, find out who the teacher is and tell him or her that you really love ballet and want to take lessons.  Ballet teachers are always looking for guys to take class, and some let guys into class for free or on scholarship, and, ballet teachers know how to convince a mom or dad that ballet lessons are good for their kids.

You should try the website www.danceart.com.  They have message boards for guys under 13 (Boys' Club), for guys in their teens (Guys' Club(teens)) and for guys that are older (Men In Dance).  I've seen messages there that talk about the problems that guys have with their parents (usually with dad) when they want to take ballet.  Know that you are not alone.

You can e-mail me by clicking on my name, above, that's in red and underlined.  I've danced for a while now, but my mother didn't want me to take ballet.

ON THE OTHER HAND, if you're some guy acting out a fantasy, be aware the many of us guys take this site seriously and don't like people who act-out that kind of stuff when there are guys with real concerns.

Good luck!  balletboy
