Appollon....Give it a break!

Appollon, you need to calm down a bit!  I have read the posts here and the accusation of an alledged fetish here and frankly, I don't see such at all.  Rather, I see someone saying just HOW he became attracted to Ballet at his early age and then, when he finally got involved with it because of the attraction of the costumes, stayed with it. Why the attack?

Look, many of us guys really had a bad time with the wearing of tights and even leotards for dance because it was such a no-no when we were young and even worse when we had to wear different colored stuff for whatever performances we were in.  And I have some news for you, outside of the jeering I had to go through from studying ballet at an early age, wearing tights and even a leotard, did actually feel good!  It still does.  In fact, I can't see wearing anything but a good fitting pair of tights and leotard during any class or rehersal.  And since I don't wear them outside of class or performance (wow, I guess this means it's not a fetish with me), I do look forward to wearing them for when I do dance.

The fact is, as long as our culture punishes men for wearing tights and leotards even for something legitimate like Ballet, it will continue to produce men with fetishes toward such clothing.
