A REAL RESPONSE!

If you're really having this problem, what's happening with your dancebelt?  Doesn't it hold you in enough?  Does it fit properly (i.e. not too loose)? (But don't get one that's too tight.)

The male bulge is a fact of ballet due to our functional uniform. And male dancers are human, and are made this way. Everybody knows what's down there, and although some men might be bigger, the initial shock is the viewers problem, NOT YOUR PROBLEM.

Hey, your family has seen you before....mom and dad changed your diapers!  They'll know what's there!  Don't worry about them.

In short, worry about your dance!  Don't worry about how your crotch looks!  If people have a problem, it's their problem!  There's no reasonn to be ashamed of being human!

>Well, I am not sure how to explain this.  I just finished highschool two years ago and I am currently enrolled at CCM (Cincinnati) and I have already started.  I love my tights and I do have an awesome body that I worked very hard to develop during school.  My main problem is my crotch area.  Being black, I have a rather large, thick penis for my age (6.25 inches flat) and that creates a large bulge in the front.  I am embarassed.  I have tried to tuck it, however, that is not very natural and is very discomforting.  Believe it or not, I have openly discussed this delimma with my instructors and they both said not to worry about it and try to understand that those things come with the territory.  What am I going to do because when my parents and friends come to visit and such and performance....I don't want them to stare.  Any suggestions.
