Imagine playing football in jeans! I agree with balletboy that you want to find a good school and there is a good book, "Ballet Fit" you may want to buy. However, get yourself the requisite tights, dance slippers and dance belt and T-shirt. Your teacher can see your mistakes, YOU can see yourself and others will know you're serious.
