It isn't your age so much as your body, and especially your feet.Some people--male and female alike--have feet that are bettersuited to pointe work than others.  Some of the features areobvious, such as having the three (or four?) longest toes the samelength, so they can all bear part of your weight; other featuresare invisible, such as the strength of the muscles in the footand lower leg, and how well taking classes has developed these.

So whether you will have an easy or tough time if you try pointeis really a question nobody can answer.  You'll just have to tryand see, if you want to badly enough.  I would suggest taking thematter up with your teacher in any case; (s)he has watched you inclass and knows your strengths and weaknesses better than any ofus here.
