The obsession with technique of the ballet performer is funny, but it is, in other ways, tragic.

Every danseur is different, and technical perfection is an obsession.  The best thing about a performance, for me, is the danseur who can make the performance "real" and moving.  I'm not a critic who wants to see technical perfection.  I love ballet for the message the danseur brings to me.

The intellectual masturbation of the critic is expected, but the audience needs to be moved by the dance.  Ballet is in the heart, not the angular relationship betweem body parts!
