Or your missing the 'ronde champ en l'air' for the fouette. Take your pick. Turns take lots of balance. Try standing on releve' and then pique' your one foot, move it up to passe' if you can. Keep practicing this "center stage", then move on. Turns. I can do pique, pirouettes, compass, and chaine turns consecutively. PRobably the pirouette is the best to try to start doing more than one in a stationary position. There are acouple of ways I have overheard being taught to do more than one pirouette. One is to start in second with arms in third, then as you step back to forth position with the same leg as your extended arm while pulling the extended arm in, do a plei in forth keeping the motion going and push off with your rear foot and turn dehors (toward your leg). This you balance is caused by the spin. The better way to learn your self center is to start in a small forth position with arms wide and while you plei and pull your arms in push off with your rear leg and turn dehors while lengthening through the top of your cranium. This will set up the basics of turning balance for you to do more than one pirouette at a time. It is all about centering and lengthening at the same time. Hope it helps. Answers to this message:
