We are all different. I would not walk my dog, except in winter, without tights (In winter I wear really tight sweat pants, the equivalent of tights). I go shopping in tights...bookstores, grocery, whatever. I walk about out town center in tights. I recently bought these lycra pants (tights) that are painted like blue jeans, and love the double-takes I get. Some guys are not so bold. Some guys are not as confident with their body image as people like you and me. I've been sick for a while over the holidays and gained some weight. I know I don't have the ideal body image, but don't hesitate to wear tights. I'll get back in shape in the next few months, but don't worry about my body image, because I am comfortable in tights or unitard or whatever. Guys who have questions need support here. Please support their interests positively! balletboy >SO many guys on this forum make such a damn big deal about wearing tights and spandex in public it sometimes pisses me off. Look, I am 48, in great shape (6' 3"-185lbs), a runner and athlete, and damn if I'll wear baggy sweats or baggy nylon running pants. I own and WEAR spandex Nike/Hind/Insport/Asics running tights while at the YMCA, running in the streets, and in the supermarket after a workout. I have worn tights in public for over 15 years, and as long as I have this bod, I'll continue to wear them out of doors! To those who agonize over this topic I say this: Do you feel as if the racks and racks of running tights in the track/bike/sporting goods stores are there if no one buys and wears them? DO you feel as if the unisex unitards and men's ballet tights are sold so that they can stay in a drawer at home-never to be worn? What a shame!>I am very hetero by the way, and several girl friends have borrowed my tights to work out in, and have shown only positive response to my wearing them myself.>C'mon guys, let's get with it!!! The more of you out there who will wear them like I do, the more accepted it will be. Stop the bitchin' and be men on a mission!>All the best!>Dennis in Orlando, FL Answers to this message:
