the male dancer
written by Rhys on 27.02. at 02:51:42 Ok, so im a 16 year old dancer in dallas, i take 30+ hours a week. My problem is this:Theres three main guys in my company at my studio including me, one of them micheal, gets all the best parts. Which wouldnt upset me if he deserved them. The thing is, he doesnt try at all, he doesnt work at anything and he constantly criticzes me about things i do wrong when he has no reason to. The main instructor, and choreographer of the big shows, always gives him good parts and it just upsets me because i work so hard and he does nothing. he thinks hes too good to have to practice or try (or even turnout...) and it just gets on my nerves. Im too nice to mention it to him, because it would be more bearable if he at least didnt get on my back all the time but im just too nice, I just want the teacher to see more as more than his understudy or back up. i get ok roles but i try so hard and i know i work harder than he does. i feel bad to say that im better than he is, because i dont know if i am, but he needs alot of work, and since he doesnt take any comments from anyone, the teacher has stopped giving him main ones (like turnout and work on extension). i just want her to notice me, and i dont know what to do. any suggestions?
