Re: weak side? Ask any teacher; watch many dancers!

Rhys!

Dancers and teachers will tell you that it's normal to have a weaker side.  It's normal to have better appearance on one side rather than the other.  Some people can turn right easily, but turn left with trouble.  Or vice-versa.

Mt left knee always buckles on turns, en dedans or en dehors.  My right knee buckles on promenades to the right, but not to the left.  My right foot always drops in attitude turns.  STILL, after 20+ years of ballet!  Go figure!

PS: Congrads on the article about your school!

>it seems to me that my left side is way weaker than my right. i can only do two or 3 turns to the left and 4 or 5 to the right, my splits are easy on the right and non existant on the left. its weird, because its like more than just a weak side, its an evil side, like its possesed. Could it be because one leg i just way stronger than the other, or that i just have some kind of odd defeciency which disables me from nicely doing things to the right? any advice, or people who also have this problem? also, my school, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, got our dance show written up by the dallas morning news, its not alot of ballet, but if you want to check the article go to my page.
