the male dancer

Probably on the backs of poorly paid Cuban seamstrisses. That's not to insult those hard working ladies. I remember poorly paid Polish seamstrisses making Nino Cerruti and Hart, Shaftner and Marx suits in my own hometown! Star-Styled is probably the last manufacturer who still make full-seated dancebelts. The fabric they use is probably more lycra and Antron/polyester rather than nylon (I can't read the material content on my Star-Styled dancebelts; the tags are too worn out). Dancebelts become very personal to the danseur, but some of use keep thinking there's a better one somewhere. I used Star-Styled for about two years, until I found the Capezio "comfort" dancebelt, which is a cotton/lycra version of the old Danskin 1100 that I started in years ago! Everytime I find MY dancebelt on sale, I buy at least two, often more. But then everytime I see a new brand, I buy a trial model. I guess I'm luck to be employed in a job that pays enough (although it's too little) to keep my trunk filled with dancebelts! balletboy Answers to this message: |
