After about five years in ballet I tried a pointe class. At first I tried the traditional way of trying pointe shoes (The female way), but after about a month of classes, I switched to what was comfortable for me...more like elastic bands than ties. The truth is that after about six months I was wondering what I was doing in pointe shoes. I had no intentions of joining the Trocks! And only a few roles require a man to be in pointe.
