Actual Instructions - Classical Ties

On the foot... cross the inside ribbon away from the inside of the foot across the foot and wrap it completely around the ankle. Then, Do this with the oposite ribbon (from outside to inside) and tie a small knot with the ends of the ribbon on the inside of the ankle. Because of the location of the knot, there will be a little more of one ribben left over, wrap this around the knot to conceal it.

Best to tie your shoe (snug, but not too tight) with a flexed or semi-flexed foot as to not to cut off circulation, but still have the holding power for class. It is important to also have elastics or a drawstring. For performance, if you choose to do so with ribbons, tie snug on a pointed foot for a more streamline foot.
