The feet especially --- when well-trained --- can take a lot of the impact through the muscles. The shock absorbing is in the use of the feet, not in any particular material like a rubber sole. Also, dance floors are generally springy --- contrast to concrete that you run on. That said, knees and ankles are definitely problem points for the professional dancer. Answers to this message: |
