Baryshnikov's bravado and skills were so overwhelming that the companies he danced with sought out short ballerinas he could partner without looking out of scale. At 5'-7" he was only 2" shorter than ideal. Other danceforms like modern and jazz are better able to deal with differences in height and body shape and might be able to make better use of your skills. You might explore opportunities with companies that don't expect your body to conform to the classic ballet ideal. Answers to this message:
