the male dancer
written by on 25.11. at 05:36:15 - as answer to: A Question for Male Dancers by Ballet fan/tights fan at >There are in fact a couple issues here: 1) Subjective feelings of the "dancer being displayed" is irrelevant because it is the same as movie and TV stars being photographed, consent and/or lack of control of a public image. 2) A deeper issue is the observer of the photos doing anything with the photos, and is the observer initiating communication via the web site and is that communication lewd or suggestive... (assuming the "dancer" is over 18, if under 18 then there's a whole bunch of legalities)... the gender, and the sexual-orientation of the "dancer" is also irrelevant because the dancer is a public image/figure... so, personally, I'd only be concerned if the "observer attempted any contact via email through the web site, or other. Then there might be legal ramifications of harassment, lewd/lacivious conduct, stalking, or even illegal propositioning or about five or ten other civil and/or criminal actions... consult a lawyer if you feel you've been wronged!
