Dance recordings have double music for barre exercises, that is they repeat the same exercise music. When you do barre work, you do one exercise with (usually) the right hand on the barre, then you turn around and repeat the same exercise with the left hand on the barre. The double music keeps from having to go back and play the music over again. The music usually starts with plie, then tendu, etc. It provides for an orderly progression in the barre. balletboy Answers to this message:
