written by E Dog                  on 19.01. at 04:43:04I'm supposed to start pointe soon. I just need your help with something. I need to know of a good pointe shoe for guys to wear. I would also like to know if these shoes are available in colours other than the traditional ballet pink. I understand that this colour is used because most girls are required to use it in class. I would like it if I didn't have to use pink. I would also like to know if anyone knows of a store in Michigan that can fit me for shoes. On another note... I just want to know how many guys wear jazz pants in class? I for one feel uncomfortable just wearing tights, and my teacher understands this. As the only guy at my studio I have complete control over what I wear. I try to wear things that allow my teacher to see proper body alignment as I know this is important. If there are any guys who wear jazz pants to class... do you ever wear tights under them? I have found that I feel less restricted in my range of motion when not wearing tights. On this same topic I would like to know if it is acceptable for me to wear pants when on pointe. I know this would look rather ridiculous, but because I am the only male dancer this studio has ever had I would still feel strange about showing up one day in just tights and a leo.
