Boys are so rare in ballet, any studio worth its salt will be bending over backwards to get boys and retain them. In professional ballet, it's the MENS roles that they can't find enough people to fill; they're overflowing with girls. By not even providing any boy's roles, this ballet studio is sending a strong message: "we see ballet as a girly club thing for the socialization of femininity." That, alas, is not serious ballet.
